Course levels |
Beginners without or with little knowledge (A - A+ - A/B) |
This level is designed for students who are absolute beginners without any previous or little knowledge.
This course will be held partly in English during the first 2 or 3 days. This way we assure a faster learning curve without the need for our students to look up the vocabulary after class in their dictionary. Misunderstandings are that way limited to a minimum.
Content:
- Grammatical structures and vocabulary are taught, giving students a basic idea of forms used,
- Conversation class consists of vocabulary and how to converse in everyday situations,
- Reading is an important part of this level for it enables the student to hear and practice pronunciation.
At the end of this course you will:
- use the present tense, a simple past and a simple future tense,
- have learnt all basic grammatical structures,
- be able to speak Spanish in everyday situations on a basic level. |
Intermediate (B) |
After a brief overview over the most important structures taught in the previous level, this course focuses on indicative past, future and conditional tenses.
This course is held in Spanish, the use of foreign languages will be avoided as much as possible.
Content:
- All indicative tenses are compared and studied in detail,
- Grammatical structures are discussed in detail and reinforced practically and orally,
- Students are encouraged to discuss topics in class.
At the end of this course you will:
- use all indicative tenses correctly,
- have learnt all grammatical structures,
- be able to speak Spanish on a higher basic level and be able to discuss basic topics. |
Advanced (C) |
This course is designed for students with an advanced understanding of Spanish. The introduction of this course gives an overview of all indicative tenses and then focuses on the subjunctive tenses.
This course is held in Spanish, the use of foreign languages will be avoided as much as possible.
Content:
- Subjunctive tenses are main topic studied in grammar class,
- Grammatical exceptions are studied in detail,
- Expressions and sayings are taught to enrich vocabulary,
- Conversation focuses on articles from magazines and newspapers,
- Spanish movies and songs are used to get a better understanding of Spanish Culture.
At the end of this course you will:
- use all tenses correctly,
- have learnt all grammatical structures and exceptions,
- be able to speak Spanish on intermediate level and to discuss topics of actual interest. |
