Our school is located on Palma's main beach the "Playa de Palma" east of Palma de Mallorca’s city center.
Public transport to the city center is available with several direct bus lines and takes about 15 minutes. The center of nightlife on the Playa de Palma with its bars, restaurants and the island's mayor discotheques can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes, or also by bus within 5 minutes.
Altogether the perfect location to study English in a relaxed beach atmosphere with the stylish and vivid Palma de Mallorca as well as exuberant night life on the Playa de Palma close by.
Our teaching method
At Mallorca PLUS we use the direct method which means that English is the only language spoken in class.
Vocabulary and grammar are learned in context.
English courses on Mallorca at Sprachcaffe Mallorca
Group courses start on all levels every Monday from the 27th of May 2012 to the 7th of October 2012 and end on Fridays.
Private lessons can be arranged outside this time frame.
Our groups have a maximum of 6 students per class; each lesson is 45 minutes long. This means that there are plenty of opportunities to participate in class conversations and to know your fellow students better.
All new students will do a written and oral test on their first day of course and then be placed into their courses according to the result.
English course types
We offer 2 types of courses; group tuition and private tuition.
● Our groups have a maximum of 6 students per class.
● Each lessons is 45 minutes long. ● Levels are set up according to the result of a placement test.
● Course material is lent to our students in class.
● After the course students will receive a certificate.
Great emphasis is put on developing the oral abilities of the students.
In class students will have to prepare discussion topics and present themes to be debated in conversation classes.
Our educational material is related to everyday life.
Our teachers are native speakers with teaching certificates.

Courses timetable
The Semi-Intensive course has
● 4 lessons per day (5 days/week)
(total of 20 lessons per week)
● The minimum duration is 2 weeks
The intensive course has
● 6 lessons per day (5 days/week)
(total of 30 lessons per week)
Private tuition is available with
● 2,4 or 6 lessons/day (5 days/week)
(total of 10,20 or 30 lessons/week)
Your timetable will typically be:
● Standard Course - 09:00 - 12:30
● Intensive Course - 09:00 - 14:15
This course is the best compromise between learning and free time. Four lessons daily guarantee effective learning, while the afternoon remains free for leisure activities.
The first 2 lessons usually focus on grammar and the second 2 lessons on conversation.
Designed for students who wish to learn more intensively and in depth.
The course is based upon the Semi-Intensive course; which means that participants take part in the Semi-Intensive course and will have another 2 extra lessons which normally focus on vocabulary.
Private language training is the fastest and most efficient way to learn a language or improve your language skills.
The content is determined by the student. Timetables are also flexible and can be agreed freely.
Please note that the timetable may change due to organizational requirements.
The timetable of private tuition will be arranged with the student personally.
Lessons will not be held on the following holidays: 06.04, 09.04, 01.05, 25.06, 15.08, 12.10, 01.11, 06.12.2012.
Course levels
In Mallorca we offer all official English course levels. Theses levels are:
Level A1
Level B1
Level C1
A basic ability to communicate and exchange information in a simple way.
Example: CAN ask simple questions about a menu and understand simple answers.
The ability to express oneself in a limited way in familiar situations and to deal in a general way with nonroutine information.
Example: CAN ask to open an account at a bank, provided that the procedure is straightforward.
The ability to communicate with the emphasis on how well it is done, in terms of appropriacy, sensitivity and the capacity to deal with unfamiliar topics.
Example: CAN deal with hostile questioning confidently. CAN get and hold onto his/her turn to speak.
Level A2
Level B2
Level C2
An ability to deal with simple, straightforward information and begin to express oneself in familiar contexts.
Example: CAN take part in a routine conversation on simple predictable topics.
The capacity to achieve most goals and express oneself on a range of topics.
Example: CAN show visitors around and give a detailed description of a place.
The capacity to deal with material which is academic or cognitively demanding, and to use language to good effect at a level of performance which may in certain respects be more advanced than that of an average native speaker.
Example: CAN scan texts for relevant information, and grasp main topic of text, reading almost as quickly as a native speaker.
