Our school is located in Palma de Mallorca, east of the city center, on Palma's main beach the "Playa de Palma".
Public transport to the city center is available with several direct bus lines and takes about 15 minutes. The center of nightlife on the Playa de Palma with its bars, restaurants and the island's mayor discotheques can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes, or also by bus within 5 minutes.
Altogether the perfect location to study Spanish in a relaxed beach atmosphere with the stylish and vivid Palma de Mallorca as well as exuberant night life on the Playa de Palma close by.
Our teaching method
At Mallorca PLUS we use the direct method which means that Spanish is the only language spoken in class.
Vocabulary and grammar are learned in context.
Spanish courses on Mallorca at Sprachcaffe Mallorca
Courses start every Monday and end on Fridays on all leves.
Our groups have a maximum of 6 students per class; each lesson is 45 minutes long. This means that there are plenty of opportunities to participate in class conversations and to know your fellow students better.
On the first course day absolute beginners will immediately start with their course. The rest of our new students will do a written and oral test and will then be placed into their courses according to the result.
Spanish course types
We offer 2 types of courses; group tuition and private tuition.
● Our groups have a maximum of 6 students per class.
● Each lessons is 45 minutes long. ● Levels are set up according to the result of a placement test.
● Course material is lended to our students in class.
● After the course students will receive a certificate.
Great emphasis is put on developing the oral abilities of the students. In class students will have to prepare discussion topics and present themes to be debated in conversation classes.
Our educational material is related to everyday life.
We introduce our students to Spain’s social and cultural life by using audio and video equipment such as songs and movies, as well as up to date material such as periodicals, newspapers and magazines. Role play conversations are used to further improve our students oral abilities.
Our teachers are native speakers with teaching certificates.
Their knowledge, great experience in teaching and the relaxed environment at our school guarantees a great learning experience and success.

Courses timetable
The Semi-Intensive course has
● 4 lessons per day (5 days/week)
(total of 20 lessons per week)
● The minimum duration is 2 weeks
The intensive course has
● 6 lessons per day (5 days/week)
(total of 30 lessons per week)
Private tuition is available with
● 2,4 or 6 lessons/day (5 days/week)
(total of 10,20 or 30 lessons/week)
Your timetable will typically be:
● Standard Course - 09:00 - 12:30
● Intensive Course - 09:00 - 14:15
This Semi-Intensive is the best compromise between learning and free time. Four lessons daily guarantee effective learning, while the afternoon remains free for leisure activities.
The first 2 lessons usually focus on grammar and the second 2 lessons on conversation.
Designed for students who wish to learn more intensively and in depth.
The course is based upon the Semi-Intensive course; which means that participants take part in the Semi-Intensive course and will have another 2 extra lessons which normally focus on vocabulary.
Private language training is the fastest and most efficient way to learn a language or improve your language skills.
The content is determined by the student. Timetables are also flexible and can be agreed freely.
Please note that the timetable may change due to organizational requirements.
The timetable of private tuition will be arranged with the student personally.
Lessons will not be held on the following holidays: 06.04, 09.04, 01.05, 25.06, 15.08, 12.10, 01.11, 06.12.2012.

In Mallorca we offer all official Spanish course levels. Theses levels are:

Beginners with little or no knowledge

● Grammatical structures and vocabulary will give a basic idea of Spanish.
● Conversation focuses on how to converse in everyday situations.
● Reading is an important part of this level for it enables the student to hear and practice correct pronunciation.
● Grammatical structures are reinforced practically and orally.
● Indicative tenses, especially the past tenses are compared and studied in detail.
● Practical exercises such as informal conversation is used to improve comprehension.
● Conversation is one of the most important parts, students are encouraged to discuss topics in class.
● Subjunctive tenses are the main topic studied in grammar class.
● Expressions are taught to enrich vocabulary.
● Conversation focuses on articles taken from magazines which are used for further discussions and dialogues.
● Spanish movies and songs are used to get a better understanding of the Spanish culture.
● Grammatical exceptions as well as difficult grammatical details are taught.
● High level conversation and specialized vocabulary (e.g. business terms) are learnt.
● In all exercises the most important aspect is to speak and communicate in Spanish appropriately and correctly.
The aim in our C1 / C2 Level is to gain a proficiency level in Spanish, level C2 is very close to the level of a native speaker. All grammar, exceptions and standard to advanced vocabulary is assumed to be known.
